Andy Nguyen is an all-vegetarian/vegan restaurant located off Broadway. The dishes are Vietnamese and include fake meats such as fake chicken, lamb, fish, shrimp, beef, pork etc.. Andy Nguyen is very popular among the vegetarian/vegan community in Sacramento.
The restaurant used to serve real meat. But the owners had a spiritual awakening and decided to make the switch. On some days, the place is used for Buddhist seminars. Buddhist pamphlets can be found there.
The coconut pudding is not a good value.
They serve little candies after each meal, flavored like corn and strawberry and other sweet flavors. They can be found in Asian Town.
Don't eat the fruit in front of the register. That's some kind of religious thing.

2008-05-12 09:31:48 loved it, especially the "salmon" teriyaki type dish. I am a carnivore all the way, but this stuff is quite tasty. —MattHh
2008-12-02 12:49:47 Being a vegetarian, this place is great. You get simulated meat dishes that allow you to pretend that you are ripping apart chunks of flesh when it is actually a piece of (very tasty) tofu. Free refills on their very flavorful Iced Teas too. —GabeDavis
