Autumn Sky is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter in the Sacramento music scene.
Sky's insatiable appetite for song has followed her as long as she's been alive. With accumulatively over 300 songs, some written when she was only six years old, she continues to amaze audiences with her knack for melody and catchy hooks, accompanied by some impressively mature songwriting.
Her stage performance is a combination of the bittersweet in life, as well as the whimsical. Each set plays out like a dramatic film, as her consuming stage presence commands the crowd for attention. In just the two short years that she has been performing — ever, at all — her growth in the music scene has been rapidly growing with the steady pace only something really good can muster. And with her album's release date looming closer than ever, Sacramento seems braced to welcome miss Sky with open arms.
Although she is able to play over 14 different instruments (some as obscure as the pedal organ, the mbira, and the accordian,) her on-stage performances combine the sounds of the guitar, the piano, the ukulele, and the autoharp. With a history in jazz voice training, the combination is surprisingly sweet. Often compared to the likes of Tori Amos, Jewel, and Regina Spektor, this Sacramento gem can't possibly be waiting any longer for discovery.
