Beers Book Center (or "Beers Books") is a large, independent bookstore selling used and new books. Its staff is friendly, laid-back and helpful. Deeply discounted books are set on shelves outside the store, and a resident fluffy cat often greets patrons or provides a petting station near the front door.
Before moving to its current location, Beers Books was located at 15th and L Streets. The store has been around since Franklin Roosevelt was president, according to the
Sacramento Business Journal.

2007-08-10 21:28:07 I manage to go to Beers Books about twice a month, just to check on "new old" books that have arrived. I enjoy going here because the parking is really easy, it's a relaxing place, and I always find a book or two to take home. —robinlaughlin
