The California Highway Patrol is a California Law Enforcement agency and has jurisdiction over the major highway systems of California. You will probably see them if you "Drink and Drive" or speed, but if you ever need help on the side of the road or if you have an accident they can assist you.

2007-09-11 16:57:28   Watch out - the CHP patrols midtown looking to give out DUIs. I wonder if midtown is zoned in such a way that it falls under their jurisdiction? Or perhaps they can do whatever the hell they want... —CharlesMcLaughlin
