St. Stephen's is a Roman Catholic church in Sacramento run by the priests of the Fraternity of Saint Peter ([WWW]FSSP). All Masses are Traditional Latin Masses according to the 1962 Roman Rite; since July 7, 2007, this is known as the Extraordinary Rite. Low Masses are approximately one hour long and said in spoken Latin, while High Masses are typically one and a half hours long and sung in traditional Latin chant. The Sacrament of Confession is available half an hour before each Mass. On Sundays, the rosary is prayed half an hour before the 10:30 High Mass and the traditional Sunday Vespers are sung at 3:00 pm. An article in the Sacramento Bee describing the church can be found [WWW]here.
