In the state legislature Citrus Heights is located in the 6th Senate District, represented by Democrat Darrell Steinberg,

and in the 5th Assembly District, represented by Republican Roger Niello.

Federally, Citrus Heights is located in California's 3rd congressional district and is represented by Republican Dan Lungren.

Citrus Heights is its own city within Sacramento County. It is located south of I-80, roughly between Roseville, Carmichael, and Orangevale. There is alot of sprawl here, with more than a few stripmalls. One of the major intersections is Greenback and Sunrise. The Sunrise Mall is located here, including one of the La Fiesta taquerias and an Elephant Bar I think.
