Located 1 block north of Sacramento City College, Sacramento's beloved Metro coffeehouse and cafe is the only cafe in town with a genuine antique Italian hydraulic lever-style espresso machine. Our espresso, coffees and teas are outstanding. We offer a variety of drinks, foods (including our delicious vegetarian/vegan soups), desserts (try our very own chocolate chip cookies and holiday-themed cookies and treats!) and many vegan items - all *fare* at exceptionally *fair* prices. Ask us about coffee orders for special events. Free WiFi with purchase. When you visit Metro be sure to check out the art work by local artists.

2007-11-03 23:07:13 I just got back from Italy, so I'll have to check out that espresso machine. Is there free wifi? —CharlesMcLaughlin
2007-11-04 10:46:41 Yes, Metro has free wifi with any purchase. —Cali4niaRags
2009-07-12 09:53:58 Aside to Cali4niaRags—It is quite obvious through your user history that you either own Espresso Metropolitan or have quite a stake in it. For that reason, do you think it may be a little shady to go to the wiki pages of other independently-run cafes and badmouth their service and/or coffee? I do. I'm moving to Sac in a month. You have already lost my business. —ifoundthistape
