KVIE has traditionally broadcast over the local airwaves on channel 6, but has recently expanded it's programming into high definition. KVIE offers additional public television programs to subscribers of Comcast in Sacramento County and SureWest Broadband. KVIE2 (available on Comcast cable 7 and digital cable 190, SureWest cable 7) is funded in part by a grant from the Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission.
