Established
1972

Since its inception in 1972 La Raza Galeria Posada has been one of the few non-profit organizations in the Sacramento area where Raza have seen themselves, read about themselves, and express themselves as they truly are. It is this tradition that the bookstore looks to continue by providing art, literature and community information to inspire and empower the Chicano community. In 2007, we look forward to expanding our literature collection to include contemporary Raza authors addressing issues which affect the Raza Community today. The bookstore will also continue the promotion and sale of regional Chicano/a, Native American and Latin American fine art. In addition we will provide off site framing services to preserve the cultural, political and historical significance of our art for researchers and admirers alike.
