Mainline is Sacramento City College's award winning magazine. It's published once a semester.

Students in Journalism 403 make up Mainline's staff. While the magazine was originally established by Doug Herndon and Paul Estabrook in 1995, it wasn't until Fall 2006 that a class was devoted to producing Mainline.

In March 2009, Mainline received it's first General Excellence award; along with several awards for articles, photos, and design.

As of January 2010, Mainline's existence is in jeopardy due to low enrollment. While there is usually a problem with low enrollment for Mainline, budget cuts may cause a suspension of the publication.
