The Press Club, or the "The Press" as insiders call it, is a jewel of the midtown scene. The venue is split into a bar and a room with a dance floor and DJ booth. Playing an eclectic mix of 80's music, the small club attracts a crowd ranging from Sacramento State students to seasoned mid- and downtowners. The drinks here are awesome. Their Long Islands are the best in Sacramento, if you can handle a strong drink. Larry the hot-dog vendor is usually parked across the street on Thursday nights.
